Small on square footage, expansive on feeling. A cabin at the end of a private mountain road with a hot tub, a fireplace, and views that make the drive worth it every time.

The Space

Zink Cabin is our most-booked property, and the reason isn't hard to understand. The cabin itself is cozy and well-equipped, but the deck is the main event. It faces the mountains, has a hot tub serviced between every stay, a propane fire bowl, two chaise lounge cushions for stargazing, and a grill. The combination of privacy, altitude, and that view creates something that's genuinely hard to replicate anywhere else.

Inside, the cabin is warm and functional. The bedroom has a queen bed with a large 4K TV and AppleTV. Simple, but done right. There's an on-demand cast iron propane fireplace that heats the space quickly without any kindling fuss. The kitchen is compact but capable: mini KitchenAid mixer, sous vide, Nespresso, outdoor grill, and everything you need for real cooking (just on a smaller scale than our other properties).

And your reset begins before you unpack: every stay includes a welcome bottle or non-alcoholic treat, waiting when you arrive.

Zink is next door to Hill Studio and shares the same private mountain property, but the cabin and its deck are completely private. Both can be rented together if you want the full mountaintop to yourselves.

Good to Know

Zink Cabin is just under 2.5 hours from NYC. A car is necessary. Vernooy Kill Falls, Ashokan Reservoir, and Minnewaska State Park are all 10 to 25 minutes away and offer hiking and scenic nature walks. Inness Restaurant and Spa, Westwind Orchard, and Arrowood Farm Brewery are all within 30 minutes.

Plan on bringing your ingredients with you. Tetta's Market and Deli is the closest option for last-minute needs, though with a more limited selection. Accord Market and MyTown Marketplace in Stone Ridge are our go-to stops for a fuller shop. If you're driving up late, Shoprite in New Paltz is usually open until midnight (10pm on Sundays).

This property includes smart lighting with voice control, projection systems, Sonos, induction cooking, and other contemporary systems that feel intuitive for guests comfortable with modern homes.

The AppleTV is set up for you to sign into your own streaming accounts. Our team resets every device between stays, but if you'd like to clear your accounts before checkout, there's an "Erase and Reset" app on the AppleTV that makes it easy.

Zink Cabin is at the end of a private dirt and gravel road. AWD or 4WD is strongly recommended, especially in winter. The road is plowed at 4+ inches of snow, but it can be icy. We shovel a path to the cabin before you arrive and leave a shovel and salt for your use during the stay. Parking for one vehicle is available directly in front of the cabin.

We occasionally have black bears on the property. They're generally shy around people, and the elevated deck is a good spot for watching wildlife from a safe distance.

House Rules

• Check-in: 4pm. Check-out: 12pm.
• Guests must sign our basic Guest Agreement after booking. Your arrival information and custom door code will be sent on the morning of check-in.
• Only registered guests may enter the property.
• Sorry, no pets.
• No parties or events.
• No smoking indoors. If smoking outside, please dispose of butts safely and off the property.
• Hot tub: please shower before use and always replace the cover when you're done.
• To help keep the floors and furnishings nice for everyone, we ask that guests remove outdoor shoes when entering.
• Bookings are for personal residential use only. Commercial photography, sponsored content, and video production require separate arrangements. Contact us for details.
• The private road is dirt/gravel. Please drive slowly and carefully, especially in a lower-clearance vehicle.

Book With Confidence

We built this booking system so you don't have to go through a third-party platform. That means better rates for you and a more direct relationship with us. Here's what to expect:

• Payment is processed securely through Stripe. Your card details are never stored by us. Your stay is paid in full at booking: one simple charge, nothing to follow up on.
• Identity verification is required for all bookings, handled securely through Truvi. You'll receive a verification link shortly after booking.
• Reduced rates for stays of 7 nights or more are automatically applied at checkout.
• Early check-in and late check-out may be available for an additional fee of $150, but cannot be confirmed until the evening before your arrival or departure. Because we only have one of each property, availability depends entirely on the bookings immediately before and after yours.
• Cancellation and date changes: All bookings are final. We don't offer refunds or date changes, which is why we strongly recommend adding travel insurance at checkout. It's the simplest way to protect your trip against the unexpected: job changes, illness, family emergencies. It gives you a real channel for recourse if life gets in the way.
• Travel insurance is available through Rental Guardian at checkout. You can review their full coverage overview before completing your booking.
• Have a question before booking? Use the Comments/Questions field and hit Inquire. We'll follow up with everything you need and can convert your inquiry to a booking directly.
• We're reachable by SMS (US numbers). Once your booking is confirmed, you'll get a first message from us. Use that thread for anything: questions, planning, recommendations. Responses typically arrive within minutes; for booking changes, we'll follow up as soon as we're available. On the morning of check-in, we'll send your custom door code through the same thread. If you have a non-US number, we'll follow up via email instead.
