Hill Studio

The most architecturally striking of our properties. Floor-to-ceiling glass, mountain views from every room, and a level of design intention that makes it feel less like a rental and more like staying inside someone's very good idea.

The Space

Hill Studio was originally our design studio, and it shows, in the best way. The main floor is all white concrete and glass, with nine-foot windows that frame the mountains like a painting you get to live inside. The bedroom level has a vaulted white cedar ceiling and a twelve-foot-wide window wall with a private balcony; the sunrise here is the kind of thing you'll still be thinking about a week later.

This is the property for guests who care about how a space is put together. The furnishings are deliberate: an Eames lounge chair, a 1970s Kartell dining table, Flos lighting. The architecture does the work of making you feel like you've actually left your regular life behind. Two motorized projection screens (one in the living room, one in the primary bedroom) mean movie night is never an afterthought.

Hill Studio is quieter and more remote than our other properties. It sits at the end of a private dirt road, and the payoff for that drive is real. Outside, there's a Solo Stove fire pit with lounge seating and an outdoor dining table under an open sky — the kind of place where evenings run long. Mornings are better suited to the balcony or the Eames lounge chair inside, with the mountains filling the windows.

And your reset begins before you unpack: every stay includes a welcome bottle or non-alcoholic treat, waiting when you arrive.

Every Reset Club property is maintained to the same baseline: the details that make the difference between a house someone rents and a place that actually restores you.

• Parachute linens, professionally laundered and pressed before every stay. The same linen service is used by a nearby Michelin Key property
• Stocked kitchen with quality tools and cookware, plus olive oil, Maldon salt, and organic black pepper in every property
• Coffee and tea: Nespresso machine with starter pods, a Fellow grinder for your own beans, a Fellow kettle for your own teas, and a filter coffee option in every property

Good to Know

Hill Studio is just under 2.5 hours from NYC. A car is necessary. Vernooy Kill Falls, Ashokan Reservoir, and Minnewaska State Park are all 10 to 25 minutes away and offer hiking and scenic nature walks. Inness Restaurant and Spa, Westwind Orchard, and Arrowood Farm Brewery are all within 30 minutes.

The kitchen is stocked with organic pantry basics and spices — flour, sugar, rice, cinnamon, crushed red pepper, and more — for when inspiration strikes or you need a little something extra. If you're cooking something specific, we recommend bringing your own ingredients. Tetta's Market and Deli is the closest option for last-minute needs, though with a more limited selection. Accord Market and MyTown Marketplace in Stone Ridge are our go-to stops for a fuller shop. If you're driving up late, Shoprite in New Paltz is usually open until midnight (10pm on Sundays).

This property includes smart lighting with voice control, projection systems, Sonos, induction cooking, and other contemporary systems that feel intuitive for guests comfortable with modern homes.

The AppleTV is set up for you to sign into your own streaming accounts. Our team resets every device between stays, but if you'd like to clear your accounts before checkout, there's an "Erase and Reset" app on the AppleTV that makes it easy.

Hill Studio and Zink Cabin (our neighboring guest cabin) share the same private mountain property but are designed for complete privacy. They can be rented together if you'd like the full property. The lower-level garage is owner storage and is not accessible to guests. Guests have full access to both floors, the balcony, the fire pit area, and parking for up to two vehicles.

AWD or 4WD is strongly recommended in winter. The road is a private dirt road and conditions can vary. This is a meaningful consideration. Please plan accordingly.

We occasionally have black bears on the property. They're generally shy around people.

House Rules

• Check-in: 4pm. Check-out: 11am.
• Guests must sign our basic Guest Agreement after booking. Your arrival information and custom door code will be sent on the morning of check-in.
• Only registered guests may enter the property.
• Sorry, no pets.
• No parties or events.
• No smoking indoors. If smoking outside, please dispose of butts safely and off the property.
• To help keep the floors and furnishings nice for everyone, we ask that guests remove outdoor shoes when entering.
• Bookings are for personal residential use only. Commercial photography, sponsored content, and video production require separate arrangements. Contact us for details.

Book With Confidence

We built this booking system so you don't have to go through a third-party platform. That means better rates for you and a more direct relationship with us. Here's what to expect:

• Payment is processed securely through Stripe. Your card details are never stored by us. Your stay is paid in full at booking: one simple charge, nothing to follow up on.
• Identity verification is required for all bookings, handled securely through Truvi. You'll receive a verification link shortly after booking.
• Reduced rates for stays of 7 nights or more are automatically applied at checkout.
• Early check-in and late check-out may be available for an additional fee of $150, but cannot be confirmed until the evening before your arrival or departure. Because we only have one of each property, availability depends entirely on the bookings immediately before and after yours.
• Cancellation and date changes: All bookings are final. We don't offer refunds or date changes, which is why we strongly recommend adding travel insurance at checkout. It's the simplest way to protect your trip against the unexpected: job changes, illness, family emergencies. It gives you a real channel for recourse if life gets in the way.
• Travel insurance is available through Rental Guardian at checkout. You can review their full coverage overview before completing your booking.
• Have a question before booking? Use the Comments/Questions field and hit Inquire. We'll follow up with everything you need and can convert your inquiry to a booking directly.
• We're reachable by SMS (US numbers). Once your booking is confirmed, you'll get a first message from us. Use that thread for anything: questions, planning, recommendations. Responses typically arrive within minutes; for booking changes, we'll follow up as soon as we're available. On the morning of check-in, we'll send your custom door code through the same thread. If you have a non-US number, we'll follow up via email instead.
